Great work, your appz is amazing, save me hours to organize my collection.
I just had um trouble with 30 Rock, appz do no recognize build Id right, ’cause on “30 Rock – S01x04″ get 30 on name as season and 01 as episode.

This doesnt work well on
3rd Rock from the Sun – 1×01 – Brains.avi
it thinks the whole series is season 3 episode 1

This app rules for what I needed. I was thinking of writing something pretty much the same in c#

I too would be interested in the source, so that I could add to it. I tried renaming some files, and files such as:
Star.Trek.DS9.S01E10.Episode.Name.avi
would get detected as Season 9 Episode 1

Excellent little application! Any chance of releasing the source so we can work on it ourselves?

You said so yourself you can only work on it one month a year, so it’d be cool to use yours as a starting step in customizing our own version.

Cool. Hey just a couple of questions before you release 1.4, have you implemented or thought about implementing an option in the settings for a default folder path? The reason I ask is because I download all the episodes into D:\TV, and having to click on browse etc can get tedious everytime.

Leading on from that, would it be possible to have a ‘rename’ and ‘rename & move’ button? Like I had said, everything goes into D:\TV, I rename them, watch them, then move them into their respective folders and seasons. Or, instead of two button, maybe a check box next to the rename button for ‘Move Files’, or maybe even another check box next to the files themselves.

I guess in conjunction with this, would it be possible to specify another default folder path in the setting (e.g. D:\TV_Sorted) get it to move the episodes into the TV Show name folders, and then into seasons? For example, D:\TV_Sorted\Heroes\Season 03\ if you get what I mean, seeing as all that information is available anyway.

Just a couple of things I have been thinking about.

Also, what language do you code in? C#?

Hi, Yes this is definately being worked on.
Version 1.4.0 is very close to ready and has tvdb.com support, a version auto updater and a few other tweaks.

Hi, I’ve been meaning to try to make EpNamer cross platform, especially since I myself have switched over to Mac OSX since this project started.

I doubt it will happen until after I add a bunch of more features though, hopefully in that time the mono-library will have matured more too.
