Hey, quick thing. You should consider using "http://www.thetvdb.com/" It's being used by Meedio, Media Portal, and XMBC for grabbing tv data. It's user editable, and gets it's updates from tv.com. Also take a look at Smart Series Sorter on Meedios.com. It's open source and might have some interesting code to use in your project. Binary64 who heads up Meedios.com is responsible for writing this program. I've been using it for the last 3 years or so and it works great at parsing out series/episode names and numbers. Feel free to come chat on in the forums there. I'm havix btw. Thanks for reading.

Just to let you all know, EpNamer v1.3.0 will have the following new features:
- Specify your own naming format.
- Manually set the episode ids of files (in case EpNamer couldn't work it out from the name or gets it wrong).
- Option to move renamed files to a folder.
- Minor improvements/crash fixes when trying to figure out the episode id from a file name.

The British episodes issue is a bit difficult to fix.

EpNamer queries the tvrage.com database for episodes info, which unfortunately doesn't have the most comprehensive info for British episodes. TV.com has probably the best database for episodes, unfortunately I cannot seem to find any info on how to access the TV.com database. If someone can post a link with info on how to do this, the next feature I will be implementing in EpNamer will be allowing you to choose between tvrage.com and tv.com, this would always give a backup in case your episodes cannot be found in one of the databases.

I would really like to try out the new version. I have just signed up so if you could excuse my ignorance I have a few suggestions. British episode, but I am not sure where you would get them - like Teachers and the IT Crowd. Also I think it would be cool if we could edit the output format, as I myself use the 'S01E01 - Episode Name' format. Anyway, keep up the good work... I'll recommend you, as you need to get the word out about this tool.

Maybe upload it as a torrent Episode.rename.files.(epnamer.com)???
